The Yellow Underdog: How a Lucky Guy Saves a Nation

(Scene: Inside the Cockpit of a Yellow Airplane, near the launch area on a tense Airplane-themed Chessboard.)
(YOU, the worst pilot of the entire Yellow Nation, sit nervously in your cockpit. Three Red Airplanes have already reached their base, and the fourth is almost there. If it makes it, the war is over, and the Red Nation will rule the world.)
(Chasing the fourth Red Airplane is the YELLOW ACE—the pride of your Nation. You’re far behind them, stuck watching your screen. Suddenly, you notice a shadow flickering near the Yellow Ace.)
You: (muttering) What’s that? It’s too close to the Ace…
(You grab your radio, heart racing.)
You: Yellow One, this is Yellow Four! There’s something near you—a shadow. It might be an enemy plane! Be careful!
Yellow Ace: (over radio, laughing) Advice from you? That’s hilarious, rookie. I’ve done more missions this week than you’ve flown in your entire life. Stay out of my way—I’ve got this!
(The radio cuts off. You stare at your screen, helpless, as the shadow creeps closer. Then—POOF!—the Yellow Ace’s signal disappears.)
You: No… they got him.
(Your chest tightens. It’s all up to you now. You—the worst pilot in the fleet, the one no one believes in—are the only one left on the battlefield. The last hope of the Yellow Nation.)
(The Red Airplane’s signal inches closer to its goal. Your hands tremble as they tighten on the controls.)
Commander: (over radio, barking) Yellow Four, fall back! Reinforcements are coming. DO NOT ENGAGE. That’s an order!
(It’s your turn to roll the dice. You give it a toss, and the result flashes on your screen: SIX.)
You: (to yourself) If I wait, we lose everything.
(You slam the throttle forward, speeding six steps ahead. The dice rolls again: SIX. Your heart pounds.)
Commander: (yelling) Yellow Four, are you insane?! You’re no hero—stop playing one!
(You ignore him, surging forward. The battlefield rewards you as you land on a yellow space: +4 STEPS. Suddenly, a glowing shortcut appears on your radar, cutting through the mountains.)
You: A shortcut? It’s not even on the map… This has to be fate!
(You grip the controls and dive toward the shimmering path. The plane rocks as turbulence shakes it, but you hold steady. The mountains blur past. Then, out of nowhere—you see it.)
(The RED AIRPLANE glides ahead, unaware of your presence.)
You: (grinning) Caught you off guard, didn’t I?
(You line up your shot. Your fingers hover over the trigger. Beads of sweat drip down your forehead. You fire.)
(BOOM! A direct hit! The Red Airplane explodes in flames, spiraling down toward the hangars. Your screen flashes: RED TARGET ELIMINATED.)
Commander: (over radio, stunned) Yellow Four… you did it. You really did it!
(The radio crackles with cheers from headquarters. The Commander’s voice returns, full of pride.)
Commander: You’re the Hero of the Yellow Nation!
(You lean back in your seat, letting out a long breath. A small smile spreads across your face.)
You: Just doing my job, Commander.
(The skies ahead are clear. The path to the Yellow base is wide open. You switch to autopilot, letting the steady hum of the engines fill the cockpit.)
You: (thinking, with a chuckle) They always said I was just lucky. But maybe… luck is a kind of strength.
(The Yellow Airplane soars toward its destination, carrying the hope of an entire nation on its wings.)
