(Scene: At Home. YOU crouch by the Washing Machine, tools scattered around. Your WIFE leans against the doorway, barely interested.)
You: Why’s this thing so loud? Maybe if I just—
(You wiggle a knob, and the machine jerks. The door flies open, pulling you in.)
You: Honey! Help! It’s pulling me in!
Wife: Mm-hmm. That’s nice.
You: I'm serious! Just press the power button!
(She glances at the button, sighs, and walks away.)
(Your DOG trots in, tail wagging. It barks at you, tilting its head in confusion.)
You: Good girl! You can save me! Hit the button!
(The dog stands on its hind legs, pawing at the machine, but it’s too short. Your voice fades as you’re pulled in.)
(On the couch, your wife flips her magazine.)
Wife: Peace at last.
