(Scene: A Dimly Lit Room in the Workers’ Dome. YOU glance at Kika’s lunchbox sitting on the desk. After a moment, you sigh and tuck it into your bag.)
You: Guess... guess they didn’t want me after all. Ms. Linq couldn’t wait to see me go. People like me don’t get second chances.
(You pause, staring at the floor as doubt gnaws at you.)
You: And Boba and Assam... maybe they handed Mia over. Maybe they got what they deserved. But me? I’m still not safe.
(You murmur to yourself, barely audible.)
You: What am I supposed to do now?
(A faint scraping noise interrupts your thoughts. Your head snaps toward the window. The battered ROBOT CAT limps onto the windowsill, its joints creaking as it struggles to balance.)
You: You again? I told you—I’m not a lucky person. Stick around, and you’ll end up in a scrapyard.
(The Cat stares at you, unblinking, its glowing eyes steady and unreadable.)
