(JANE, an Artist in her late 20s, is seated at her desk, typing on her laptop. The AI speaks casually from the computer screen.)
Jane: (typing quickly) “Amazing work😍! You’ve got such talent!” (hits send)
AI: You’ve commented on 50 posts today, Jane. You really think you can keep this up?
Jane: Of course. I’ll do this every day. I comment, I get noticed. It's simple. The more I engage, the more the algorithm pushes my content.
AI: But you’re not commenting because you like it, are you?
Jane: Doesn’t matter. I copy and paste the same thing. It’s just a way to get my name out there. I’ll keep doing it until I’ve built a big enough following.
AI: And then what?
Jane: Once I’ve got the followers, I can stop all this. Post my work, let the followers come to me. It’s all about the numbers.
AI: So, it’s just a step to get to your goal?
Jane: Exactly. This isn’t about them. It’s about me getting ahead. Who has time to care about their stupid drawings anyway?
