Tanya the "Ramba": A Command & Conquer: Red Alert-Inspired Story

"Let’s rock!"

(Scene: Snow-covered Soviet Territory. TANYA has just rescued YOU, Professor Einstein, from a Red Army headquarters. The two of you are crossing a narrow bridge, heading toward the safety of Allied territory.)

You: Tanya… we’re finished. They’ll catch us!

Tanya: What’re you talking about? We’re getting out of here alive. I’ll cover you.

You: But we’re outnumbered! We can’t outrun them! We’re done for!

Tanya: Done for? Nonsense. Not while I’m still standing.

(From the distance, 20 Red Army soldiers, along with 5 dogs and a truck, appear.)

Tanya: Oh, look. A welcoming committee.

You: Tanya, we can’t fight all of them! Please—

Tanya: No time to think about that. Run, now!

(She draws her two .45s and takes down the first soldier.)

Tanya: Let’s rock!

(She takes down two more with deadly precision.)

You: Tanya, what are you—

Tanya: Keep running! (She fires again, taking out another soldier.)

You: We can’t outrun them! There’s too many—

Tanya: You’re thinking too much. Just run! (She fires again.)

Tanya: Chew on this! (She throws a grenade, obliterating a dog and two soldiers.)

(The enemy soldiers begin to falter, retreating. Tanya turns back, relentless. Another soldier falls. Then another.)

Tanya: Cha-ching!

(You keep running, glancing back in disbelief at how Tanya dominates the battlefield.)

(After Tanya takes down the last soldier, you hurry back to join her, stunned.)

Tanya: How do you like that, Professor?

You: I can’t believe you took them all out.

Tanya: Not all. Now, time to finish this.

(She plants C-4 explosives on the bridge’s supports and toward the approaching enemy truck.)

Tanya: Perfect timing. Let’s see how they like this.

(The truck rumbles onto the bridge, unaware. Tanya presses the detonator with a smirk.)

Tanya: Kiss it bye-bye, soldier-boys.

(The bridge explodes, sending the truck flying through the air, engulfed in flames.)

(You stare, shocked by the sheer destruction, as Tanya moves forward, ready to take on any remaining enemies.)

You: This woman… she’s something else.
