The Encounter (Part 1)

"The bugs will find you. Surrender now!"

(Scene: High within the Shielded City, the air crackles with static energy. YOU hover alone, searching for your missing teammates. The hum of your flight pack the only sound against the desolate sky.)

You: Vic? Dak? ...Nothing.

(You switch your system to manual mode.)

You: Something’s not right.

(A faint electric wave zigzags through the clouds.)

You: So, it’s you.

(You move closer, a sleek, translucent Humanoid Figure materializes before you, shimmering like glass against the stormy backdrop.)

You: You’ve hidden well, but it ends here.

(The Figure, MIA, remains silent, her piercing gaze locked onto yours.)

You: You shouldn't have taken my team.

(You lash out with your laser whip, its arc slicing through the air. Mia dodges, the crackling whip narrowly missing her.)

Mia: I didn't take your teammates.

You: Then where are they?

Mia: Deactivated.

You: You're not like the machines back home. You’re from outside. What do you want?

(You disable her cloaking, revealing her battered form. Her body is marred with fractures, faint light spilling from the cracks.)

You: You won’t survive with those injuries. The bugs will find you. Surrender now!

Mia: I can’t.

You: Then you leave me no choice.
