(Scene: The Gate of Hell. YOU fall from nowhere, landing hard on the rocky ground.)
You: Yes… I killed myself.
(You look around. In the distance, a line of chained souls shuffles forward, their faces hollow and lifeless.)
(A MYSTERIOUS FIGURE, cloaked and calm, stands before you.)
Figure: Congratulations.
You: What?
(The Mysterious Figure gestures toward the marching souls.)
Figure: Do you see them? They are bound to return—to suffer life, again and again.
You: Reincarnation…
Figure: But not you. You’ve done what they could not. By ending your life with your own hands, you’ve severed the chain of karma. You are free.
You: Free? But suicide is supposed to be a sin.
(The Mysterious Figure chuckles.)
Figure: A lie told by the living to keep you trapped. Only those who surrender everything—even life itself—can escape the wheel of suffering.
(The Mysterious Figure steps aside, revealing a golden doorway.)
Figure: You are no longer bound. Step through, Buddha.
(You glance back at the shadowy souls, marching endlessly forward.)
You: I was told I’d be damned for this. But now I see… I was damned not to. I’m glad I did it.
(You step forward. The golden doorway closes behind you.)
