The Adventures of Mr. Monopoly (Day 1): A Lucky Encounter with Taxes and Traps

"Onward! Onward! Onward!"

(Scene: MR. MONOPOLY stands triumphantly on the GO space, as 💵 rain down around him.)

Mr. Monopoly: Ha! Another $200! Just for being me. You can’t beat that kind of luck. Now, let’s see what fortune has in store for me today!

(He strides forward confidently, but trips over a BOX and stumbles face-first onto the board.)

Mr. Monopoly: Whoa—! What is this, a trap?!

(He grumbles as he glares at the BOX.)

Mr. Monopoly: You’ve got to be kidding me. I have to pay $200 just to get by?

(Groaning, he tosses a $200 bill into the TAX BOX with dramatic flair.)

Mr. Monopoly: Fine. Take it, you legalized thieves. Next time, I’ll be the one owning this space!

(He stands up, dusts himself off, and marches away with renewed determination.)

Mr. Monopoly: Onward! Onward! Onward! There’s more money to be made—and nothing’s going to stop me!
