Sad Goodbye (Part 1)

"So... what now, Po? Where will you go?"

(Scene: Robot Recycling Plant, early morning. The wind howls through the empty streets in the plant area, biting with an icy chill.)

(PO stands outside, his forehead marked by a scab. MS. LINQ, the Line Manager of the Robot Blending Section, stands by the door with her arms crossed.)

Ms. Linq: Four days, Po. Four days without a word. You know the rules. You’re out.

(Po nods and starts to walk away. YOU run up to him, your breath visible in the cold air.)

You: Po! Wait!

(You step in front of him, concern flooding your face as your eyes trace the scab on his forehead.)

You: Po, what happened to you? You were gone so long... I was worried.

Po: It’s nothing. Just... nothing I can talk about.

(Your face falters, a flash of hurt crossing your features, but you don’t press him.)

You: Did you hear about Boba and Assam? The police... they took them, and now no one’s seen them. People say they’re... gone. Like they were never here at all.

Po: And... the reward for that intruding humanoid? Any news?

You: No. They're still searching, but everyone's on edge. It feels like they’re hiding something from us.

(You look up, your eyes searching his, trying to find something, anything to hold on to.)

You: So... what now, Po? Where will you go?

Po: I don’t know. I don’t think I can stay in this town.
