Intrusion (Part 1)

"He’s more than my creator. You know that."

(Scene: On the wing of an aircraft, soaring high above the clouds, the City of Surveillance below encased in a powerful force field. YOU stand at the edge, facing the unknown, while the OLD MAN stands behind you, watching with quiet concern.)

Old Man: I knew you wouldn’t change your mind. You’re just like him.

You: He’s down there, trapped behind that barrier. I’m the only one who can reach him.

Old Man: I know.

(You pause, looking out over the City, the shield flickering ominously below.)

You: You believe I can get through it, don’t you?

Old Man: I trust you. More than anyone else.

You: I won’t fail him—Not this time.

Old Man: Just as I care for him… I care for you, too, my dear.

You: He’s more than my creator. You know that.
