Inferno: Can You Escape the Illusion of Sin? (Part 2)

“'Think' is the wrong word."

(You and K exchange nervous glances, the Figure’s words ringing in their ears.)

K: What do you mean?

Shadowy Figure: What if I told you there is no Hell?

You: No Hell? Then why are we here? What is all this?

Shadowy Figure: Because you believe it to be.

K: So... this is all just our imagination?

Shadowy Figure: Not entirely yours.

You: Then you’re saying we can just think, and—poof—Hell vanishes?

Shadowy Figure: “Think” is the wrong word.

You: Then what? Tell me exactly what we need to do!

Shadowy Figure: Unthink. And in the blink of an eye, you’ll be free—like me.

(The Figure steps back into the shadows, its form dissolving into the flickering darkness, leaving you and K in stunned silence.)
