A Gundam Dream from Childhood: Defending the School with My Best Friends

"Tom. Jerry. Let’s go."

(Scene: Class 3A, somewhere in Hong Kong, morning. The classroom buzzes with chatter. Suddenly, the building shakes violently.)

Teacher: Everyone, stay under your desks!

(YOU, a Primary 3 student, glance out the window. Your eyes widen as you see two towering Mobile Suits approaching the school.)

You: No way…

(The classroom descends into chaos as students scream and cling to their desks.)

(You exchange a look with your two best friends, TOM and JERRY, nearby.)

You: Tom. Jerry. Let’s go.

(The three of you quietly rise from your desks. As you reach the door, you turn back to face the panicked classroom.)

You: We’ll deal with it. Don’t worry!

(Your gaze lingers on SASA, the girl you secretly love. She looks at you, her eyes wide with fear.)

(You give her a small nod before dashing out with Tom and Jerry.)

(The three of you sprint across the playground and reach a hidden hatch on the ground.)

Tom: They’ll never see this coming.

Jerry: Let’s make it quick.

(You pull the hatch open. The three of you descend into a hidden basement. Each of you runs to your assigned fighter.)

You: (from your cockpit) Tom, you ready?

Tom: Always.

You: Jerry?

Jerry: Ready, Captain!

You: Let’s do this!

(The three fighters launch from the basement into the sky.)

(The battle begins. The three of you engage the enemy Mobile Suits, firing blasts and dodging counterattacks. Explosions rock the area, and the school shakes even more violently.)

Tom: They’re tougher than they look!

Jerry: We’re not doing enough damage!

(You narrowly dodge a powerful attack that nearly takes out your fighter.)

You: (to both) We need to protect the school at all costs. Let’s combine into Gundam ZZ!

Tom: Understood, Kin.

Jerry: It’s the only way.

You: Alright, let’s combine!

(The three fighters regroup, flying side by side. Panels shift and engines roar as the fighters merge and transform.)

Tom: This is what we’ve been waiting for!

Jerry: Let’s show them what the three of us can do!

You: Let’s do this—for everyone!

(The three fighters combine into the powerful Gundam ZZ. The enemy Mobile Suits hesitate, their advance slowing as they face the newly formed Gundam.)

(The Gundam ZZ charges forward, its double beam rifles locked onto the enemy, ready to strike.)

You: (to yourself) I’ll protect you, Sasa!
